A New Chapter for Rewire

"To understand the heart and mind of a person, look not at what he has already achieved but at what he aspires to."

Khalil Gibran

The Rewire workshop has been through many transformations over the past several years. Initially, we taught skills based on diagnosis; chronic pain, anxiety, and depression. We realized that the skills work for everyone and moved to the model of opening the workshop to motivated individuals looking to improve their capacity to cope effectively.

Before the pandemic, we were inviting one person into each workshop who was either employed by a nonprofit agency or had the wish and motivation to attend but not the finances. We also saw a significant increase of participants who came to us from the community including physicians, teachers, and nurses.

Our last in-person Rewire ended in November. We successfully switched to remote in January. We will be doing a hybrid Rewire starting April 13th.

Our recent venture out to the community is a remote training that we are doing for the staff at Southern New Hampshire University. We are enjoying this training and look forward to future opportunities to expand Rewire into our community.

As the co-founders and co-facilitators of Rewire, Laura Lombardi and I have been evolving in our thoughts and ideas regarding the efficacy of Rewire. We are grateful to work with the participants of Rewire and are inspired by their willingness to embark on this journey.
